Joe Fleagle (WØFY) is a SLSRC Board Member, member of the Engineering Committee, and a retired electrical engineer. Joe received his first license in 1961 while in Maryland.  He moved to St. Louis in 1970.

Joe presented a program at the October General Meeting titled, “Ham Radio in the Dark Ages.” In describing his presentation, he said, “It starts with the beginnings of radio in the 1800’s up until 1961 when I got started. It covers the evolution of technology from the beginning until I joined the ranks of amateurs along with some events in the history of amateur radio. That is followed by my memories of hamming in the 50’s, 60’s and on up to the present time.”

This was another “Don’t Miss” event!!!
