July 7, 2022…
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Field Day this year! We had a great turn out and had a lot of fun. For those of you who couldn’t join us this year, here’s some of what you missed out on:
- Our education activity this year was building the KC9ON offset attenuator and we had every skill level from experienced to novice and after they were finished a few of them were used for a fox hunt.
- We got on the air on 6m-80m and operated all night with a small break for thunderstorms. Thanks to George WØGRW, Richard WØRCF and Steve KFØFDV.
- We had a great cookout thanks to Rebecca KC9CIJ and Bill KC9CIK and a bunch of people who brought in sides and desserts.
- We also had a lot of fun seeing other hams we haven’t seen in a long time and meeting new people who are just interested in the hobby.
I also really need to thank Mark Hall AEØME and the whole Field Day committee for all of the planning and hard work putting together another successful Field Day. If you have any photos, comments or anything else about Field Day you can email me at Info@slsrc.org or Mark at Fieldday@slsrc.org
If you operated at home, your Field Day logs must be submitted by midnight July 26th (assume UTC). Please use “St Louis & Suburban Radio Club” as the Club or Group Name to add your scores to the club if desired.
