President’s Notes – November 2017

“Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party” is a typing phrase that I used in school while learning to use a typewriter. This phrase was proposed by Charles E. Weller as an exercise in typing. Admittedly, the phrase is a little outdated, and we should replace “men” with “people” in our current world. The advantage of this phrase was it used all of the fingers on both hands. I see this as an example of how several individual “units” (fingers) come together to perform a task.

Now we apply this to our own St. Louis & Suburban Radio Club. Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their radio club. Now is that time. We are in need of individual “units” to step up and assist in leading our club going forward. Our club president position is available along with several committee chair positions. I ask that all of you within the club consider how you can serve SLSRC.

We are part of a fantastic group of people and we need to keep this going. If you are interested or have questions about any of these positions, just contact me.

Thanks for your support.
