At the August 26th SLSRC meeting, Kyle Krieg presented, “Working and Chasing Portable: A How To for NPOTA, SOTA, IOTA and Contest Portable“. If you have ever wanted to get involved with National Parks on the Air, Summits on the Air, Islands on the Air, just not sure where to start, or get info the meeting was the place to be.
Kyle provided information on how to jump start your activating or chasing efforts, and gain some knowledge about working portable. He said, “You don’t have to drive to a National Park, climb a mountain or boat to an island to join in on the fun.” Kyle showed us how to be an activator and chaser for these fun events, how to claim points, where to get more info about them, and just about anything working portable.
