Each January The St. Louis and Suburban Radio Club, Inc., warms up the ham radio winter with Winterfest - the largest Hamfest in the area!

Next year's Winterfest will be on Saturday, January 30, 2010 with doors opening at 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM for the general public. Winterfest not only offers the largest Hamfest and vendor area but also:

• A public forum presented by Bob Heil, K9EID, at 10 AM on Saturday
  
  
• VE Testing - the Cliff Cave VE Team, by reservation, at 8AM

1. Testing process for all levels will begin precisely at 8:00 AM. Due to time constraints, there will be no late starts. Doors close at 8:15.
2. Applicants taking the technician license exam must bring two forms of identification, one of which must be a photo ID.
3. Applicants for up-grades must also present their original license or CSCE, and a copy which will not be returned.
4. The application process requires either a Social Security Number (SSN) or FCC Registration Number (FRN) from http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls.
5. A $15 cash fee is required. Sorry - no checks.

Vendors can load-in and set-up on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM or Saturday morning starting at 5:00 AM.

Vendor tables will be $22.00 per table and if vendors need electricity there is an additional $35.00 charge. Each table reservation comes with one (1) vendor ticket - this is an admissions ticket NOT a raffle ticket. Vendors who have assistants with them can purchase additional vendor admittance tickets at a cost of $6.00 each.

Raffle/Entry Ticket prices for 2009 are $6.00 in advanced or $7.00 at the door. These tickets admit one and provide one prize drawing chance. Additional prize drawing chances can be purchased in packs of 3, 5 or 10 tickets.

To secure your same table spot as last year you must make your reservation by January 1, 2010.

Winterfest Talk-in will be on the 146.760 and a backup of 146.970 (w/141.3 tone) repeaters.

Winterfest is located in the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville (#1 Gateway Drive), Illinois just 11 miles east of the St. Louis Gateway Arch at I-70 and Illinois Exit #11.
