President’s Notes, December 2018

by Bill Carroll, KC9CIK
President, SLSRC

I am ending my three-year stint as the President of the best Amateur Radio Club in the St. Louis region. The St. Louis & Suburban Radio Club is a strong community service club. Public service is the primary reason that Rebecca and I joined the club so many years ago.  The SLSRC has made great strides to offer new and old amateur radio operators opportunities to participate in this great hobby. The club offers great programs during our monthly general meetings, education events including new tech and upgrade classes and the club strives to be accommodating to new hams.   I thank all of our members for their support of the club, and the support that you have given me.

I am looking forward to seeing the new SLSRC board jump in and keep this club moving forward with fresh ideas and perspectives. I think that the newly elected board members along with the board members re-elected will make great strides forward in the coming months and years.

I hope the membership of the club will step up and support our new board and offer their own expertise in helping the SLSRC continue to grow in St. Louis. You all have unique qualities that can help promote the SLSRC.  I hope to see each of you involved in the continued growth of our club and amateur radio.
